However, products in wishlist can be changed, after you have shared it with your friends. You may change your mind or decide to add new gifts to the wishlist. To avoid such incidents and keep your friends and family always informed about what gifts are relevant at the moment, we have added the ability to subscribe(follow) to wishlist. Now your friends will receive an email every time you make a change in your wishlist. In order not to make it into annoying spam for your friends, they can choose what changes to subscribe, and the site moderator can determine how often “follow” emails are sent to subscribers.
Grow community
Moreover, “follow” system will allow you to create a whole communities or rules them by yourself. If the wishlist is managed by, for example, some expert or a public person, people will be interested in what he likes and will subscribe to his/her wishlist.
We made a widget and shortcode in order to help you promote public wishlists. You can display the most recent or popular wishlists.
So people are able to see what products are in the most popular Wishlists, that can work even better than the positive feedback on your product.
And again to understand if the whole wishlist and follow system works, you’ll need some statistics. This is where our built-in analytics will come in handy. You’ll be able to see successful purchases initiated from wishlists and also abandonment rate. This can help you to solve potential problems.

Therefore, we have added a list of hooks to help developers to easily remove the unwanted (not suitable for the particular theme) option of the plugin.
